Recenzie carte + adaptare: ‘Their Finest’

Am sperat să fac o paralelă între carte și adaptare, cu diferențe și tot tacâmul, dar pentru că nu am putut să termin cartea, articolul ăsta o să arate diferit.

Cartea Their Finest a fost publicată în 2009 și este semnată de Lissa Evans. Deși cică ar fi o carte de succes, eu n-am auzit de ea până în 2016 când am citit despre noul film BBC, adaptare a acesteia. Mă rog, ideea e că m-a plictisit îngrozitor, motiv pentru care am renunțat la finalizarea lecturii când mai aveam doar 100 de pagini de parcurs, ceea ce nu mi se întâmplă des. Review: A Quiet Place (2018) – silent rooftop screening

Hi everyone! This is gonna be my first review exclusively in English, and I hope you like it! I am so excited still thinking about the special screening we got to attend on Wednesday, in London. But let me backtrack a little bit. A few weeks ago I got myself into a little Facebook contest that took place on the official A Quiet Place movie page. But I wasn’t the one who won, probably because I don’t believe in luck 🙂 . My fiancé won!

The prize consisted in a pair of tickets for a silent rooftop screening of A Quiet Place, in London, at Rooftop Film Club. Ma-gi-cal.

Although we already saw the movie, we just wished so bad to win those tickets, because we were (and still are) in love with the movie. If you didn’t hear about A Quiet Place before, which I doubt, the movie takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, where a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing. I am not a fan of horror movies, I actually avoid the genre, but this is not a horror movie for me. It is a psychological drama that easily made me, and my fiancé, cry on both occasions.
